This Privacy Policy explains how the mobile application "Digitology" ("the App", "we", "us") handles your information. By installing and using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information you enter (stored on your device only)
To calculate your numerology, the App stores the following on your device's local storage (Android SharedPreferences) only:
- Your name (used to calculate Expression / Soul Urge / Personality numbers)
- Your date of birth (used to calculate Life Path / Personal Day numbers)
This information is never transmitted to the developer or to any server. The developer operates no backend and cannot access your name or date of birth. The App has no sign-up, login, or account features, and all readings are generated entirely on your device.

1.2 Information collected automatically by third parties (ads)
The App is free and supported by advertising. To serve ads, Google AdMob (Google LLC) and its partners may automatically collect and process:
- Advertising ID (Android Advertising ID / AAID)
- Device information (e.g., device model, operating system version, language, country)
- Approximate location derived from your IP address
- App usage and ad-interaction data (e.g., ads shown, taps)
This data is collected and processed by Google and its advertising partners for ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention, and (where permitted) personalization. We, the developer, do not receive your name, date of birth, precise location, or contacts.

2. How Information Is Used
- To generate and display your numerology readings, compatibility, lucky elements, and angel-number meanings — on your device only.
- To send optional daily reading reminders (morning / evening local notifications).
- To display advertising and to operate, maintain, and improve the App.

3. Third-Party Services
The App relies on the following third-party services, which have their own privacy policies:

The App does not use Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, or any other analytics SDK.

4. Permissions
- INTERNET / ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: to load ads and check connectivity.
- AD_ID (com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID): to access the Advertising ID for ad serving.
- POST_NOTIFICATIONS: to show optional daily reading notifications.
- VIBRATE: for notification vibration.
- RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED: to reschedule daily notifications after a device restart.
Notifications are optional and can be turned off at any time in the App's settings or your device settings.

5. Advertising & Your Choices
Depending on your region and consent, ads may be personalized or non-personalized.
- You can reset your Advertising ID or opt out of ad personalization at any time via device Settings → Privacy → Ads (wording may vary by device).
- In regions where consent is required (e.g., the EEA, UK, and Switzerland), you may be shown a consent choice for personalized advertising and can change it later.

6. Your Privacy Rights

6.1 European Economic Area, United Kingdom & Switzerland (GDPR)
Because the App stores your name and date of birth only on your device, the developer does not hold or process that data and cannot access it. Data processed in connection with ads is handled by Google under its own policies.
- Lawful bases: consent (for personalized ads) and legitimate interests (for non-personalized ads, security, and fraud prevention).
- Your rights: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and withdrawal of consent. You can withdraw advertising consent at any time via your device ad settings, and erase the data you entered by clearing the App's data or uninstalling it.

6.2 California & other U.S. states (CCPA/CPRA)
- We do not sell your personal information for money.
- Use of advertising identifiers for cross-context behavioral advertising may be considered "sharing" or "sale" under certain U.S. state laws. You can opt out by limiting ad tracking / resetting your Advertising ID in device settings.
- You have the right to know, delete, and opt out of such sharing. As we hold no personal data on our servers, deletion of locally stored data is performed by clearing app data or uninstalling.

7. Data Retention & Deletion
- The information you enter (name, date of birth) is stored only on your device and is permanently deleted when you uninstall the App or clear the App's data (Settings → Apps → Digitology → Storage → Clear data).
- You can reset or limit your Advertising ID at any time through your device settings.

8. International Data Transfers
Advertising data collected by Google may be processed on servers located in the United States or other countries. Such transfers are governed by Google's privacy policy and applicable safeguards.

9. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13 (US COPPA) or under the applicable age in your region. The developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information, please contact us and we will address it promptly.

10. Security
Information the App itself stores (name, date of birth) remains on your device only and is not transmitted externally, which minimizes exposure risk. No method of storage is 100% secure, but we rely on the Android platform's standard app-sandbox protections.

11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect legal, technical, or service changes. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Material changes may also be indicated within the App.
