MyCradle — Privacy Policy

MyCradle ("MyCradle", "the app", "we", "us") is a private, offline women's health and cycle-tracking app published by Grace Eby. This policy explains what information the app handles and how your privacy is protected.

Our privacy promise
MyCradle is built to keep your health information on your device. We do not run accounts, servers, or cloud databases for your personal data, and we never sell your data — to anyone, ever.
What data MyCradle handles
Everything you enter is stored only in your device's local storage:
- Cycle and period dates, flow, and predictions
- Symptoms, moods, notes
- Basal body temperature, cervical fluid, weight, water intake
- Medications and reminder settings
- Pregnancy dates and tools (kick counter, contraction timer)
This is sensitive health information. It stays on your device and is not transmitted to us or any third party unless you choose to export or share a backup file yourself.
We do not collect personal data
Because MyCradle works offline, we have no way to see, receive, store, or access your entries. We do not require an email, phone number, or account.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
To keep MyCradle free, the app may display ads through Google AdMob. Ads require an internet connection to load. Ad providers (Google and its partners) may process limited, non-identifying technical information — such as a device advertising identifier, approximate location derived from IP, and ad-interaction data — to serve and measure ads, in accordance with their own policies:

Your health entries are never shared with advertisers. You can limit ad personalisation and reset your advertising identifier in your device settings (iOS: Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking / Apple Advertising; Android: Settings › Google › Ads).
Local notifications
Reminders (periods, fertile window, medications) are scheduled locally on your device. They are not routed through any server.
App Lock and encryption
- You may protect the app with a PIN or biometrics. Your PIN is stored only as a one-way hash in your device's secure storage.
- Backups you create are encrypted with a passphrase you choose. Keep it safe — without it, a backup cannot be restored, and we cannot recover it.
Your rights and choices
Because your data lives on your device, you are always in control.
- Access / export: create an encrypted backup at any time.
- Delete: erase all data instantly from Settings, or by uninstalling the app.
Depending on where you live, you may also have rights under laws such as the GDPR (EU/UK) or CCPA (California), including access, correction, deletion, and to opt out of the "sale" of personal information. MyCradle does not sell personal information and keeps your data on your device, so you can exercise these rights directly within the app.
Data retention
Your data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app.
Children
MyCradle is intended for people aged 13 and over (and is not directed at children under 13). Where a higher age of digital consent applies (for example, 16 in parts of the EU), please use the app only if you meet that age or have appropriate consent.
International users
MyCradle stores data locally on your device wherever you are. We do not transfer your health data across borders because we never receive it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the date above and ship the new version inside the app.
