CoucoPDF does not require you to create an account. CoucoPDF does not collect personal information unless a future feature explicitly requires it.
The app may store the following locally on your device:
- Imported PDF files
- Scanned documents and scan drafts
- Saved signatures
- Edited or signed PDF copies
- App preferences such as theme and language
How Your Data Is Used
Your files are used only to provide the app’s core features, including:
- Reading PDFs
- Extracting, reordering, merging, and scanning documents
- Adding signatures, text, highlights, and redactions
- Saving and sharing edited copies
Sharing
When you use the share feature, the document is shared only through the system sharing options you choose on your device.
Purchases
If paid features are introduced, purchase processing may be handled by the relevant app store or payment provider. CoucoPDF itself does not store your payment card information.
Third-Party Services
CoucoPDF uses third-party open-source libraries and platform APIs to provide features such as PDF rendering, scanning, sharing, and file access. If future versions include analytics, crash reporting, payments, or cloud features, this policy should be updated before those features are enabled.
Data Retention
Your documents and saved app data remain on your device until you delete them from the app. Removing a PDF from CoucoPDF removes it from the app’s local library only and does not remove the original file from your device storage.
Security
CoucoPDF aims to keep your files on-device whenever possible. However, no device or software environment can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Children’s Privacy
CoucoPDF is not intended for children under 13, and it does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any updates should be posted with a new effective date.
