This Privacy Policy explains how Core Defense (“the App”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use the App from Google Play.

1. Information We Collect

We do not collect personally identifiable information (PII) unless you voluntarily provide it. The App’s core features work without requiring PII.

a) App analytics:
We may collect aggregated app interaction events (e.g., screen views, feature usage), device/app identifiers (for analytics only), and diagnostics/crash logs to improve stability and quality.

b) Usage Access permission (local only):
If granted, Usage Access is used on-device to:

  • estimate app cache size,
  • analyze screen time to highlight potentially risky apps,
  • enhance risk scoring quality.

These Usage Access data are not sent to our servers.

c) Cloud-based security scanning (optional):
If you initiate a deep security scan, the App may upload the selected application file (APK) to a trusted analysis service for malware and security assessment.

Uploaded files are used solely for security analysis and are not associated with your identity. We do not upload personal content.

2. Third-Party Services

We may use trusted providers strictly for analytics/diagnostics:

  • AppMetrica (Yandex) — analytics & crash reports
  • Firebase Analytics/Crashlytics — analytics & crash reports
  • MobSF — cloud-based mobile security analysis

These providers may process limited technical data per their policies. Please review them before use.

2.1 Sensitive Permissions

  • PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS — used on-device to estimate cache size, analyze screen time, and improve risk scoring. Data is not uploaded.
  • QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES — used solely to identify installed apps to provide security/risk assessment and cache analysis. We do not upload the full list of installed apps and do not use it for advertising.

2.2 Retention & Deletion

We retain analytics/crash data according to the provider’s retention schedules. You may request deletion via yottdev@gmail.com; we will facilitate deletion with the provider(s).

3. How We Use Data

We use collected data to:

  • Improve performance and stability
  • Detect security threats
  • Fix technical issues
  • Prioritize feature development

We do not sell data. We do not share data with third parties for advertising.

4. Data Security

Data transfers are encrypted. We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information.

Third-party providers apply their own security controls.

5. Your Choices & Rights

You can revoke Usage Access anytime in system settings; the App will still work, but certain estimates/insights may be limited. For provider-held analytics inquiries or deletion requests, contact us and/or the provider.

6. Children

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

7. Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time. Updates will be published at the same URL and/or inside the App.
