This Privacy Policy applies to the Cook at Home mobile application, also localized as "Cook at home" (the "Application"). The Application helps users generate recipes from ingredients they have at home, adapt recipes, keep a pantry and taste profile, create shopping lists, and use cooking mode.
By using the Application, you agree to the processing of information described in this Privacy Policy.
## Information We Collect
### Information you provide
The Application may process information that you enter or choose inside the app, including:
- ingredients, recipe requests, cuisine and diet preferences;
- pantry items, "do not use" items, and items marked as running low;
- taste profile data, such as liked and disliked foods, preferred budget, available kitchen equipment, and usual cooking time;
- recipe feedback, such as "too complicated", "not my products", "tasty", "I do not like this", "too long", or "make it cheaper";
- favorite recipes, generated recipes, recipe photos, cooking history filters, and shopping list items;
- messages or details you choose to include when reporting a problem.
### Photos and camera
If you grant camera or photo library permission, the Application can use photos you take or select to recognize dishes or ingredients, generate recipes, or attach a photo to a saved recipe. The Application does not access your photos without your permission and action.
Photos attached to recipes are stored on your device unless you choose to share them or use a feature that requires sending the photo for recipe generation or adaptation.
### AI recipe processing
To generate or adapt recipes, the Application may send your recipe request to a backend service or AI service provider. A request can include the text you entered, selected tags, pantry information, taste profile preferences, feedback, and photos you explicitly provide for the request.
Please do not enter sensitive personal information into recipe prompts.
### Analytics, diagnostics, and push notifications
The Application uses AppMetrica services for analytics, diagnostics, and push notification support. Depending on your device settings and permissions, this may include technical information such as:
- device and app identifiers;
- app interactions and feature usage;
- crash, performance, and diagnostic data;
- operating system version, app version, device model, language, and similar technical data;
- push notification token if you allow notifications.
The Application does not request precise location permission. Network requests may still include technical information such as an IP address, which can be used to infer an approximate location by service providers.
## How We Use Information
We use information to:
- generate, adapt, and personalize recipes;
- suggest ingredient substitutions and missing shopping list items;
- maintain your pantry, taste profile, favorites, recipes with photos, and shopping list;
- improve recipe quality based on feedback;
- provide cooking mode and related features;
- send notifications if you allow them;
- analyze app performance, fix crashes, and improve the Application;
- respond to support requests and protect the Application from misuse.
## Third-Party Services
The Application may share information with service providers only as needed to operate and improve the Application. These providers may process information according to their own privacy policies.
The Application currently uses or may use:
- AppMetrica for analytics, diagnostics, and push notification support;
- backend and AI service providers for recipe generation and adaptation;
- Apple system services, including camera, photo library, push notifications, and standard iOS sharing features.
We do not sell your personal information.
## Data Stored on Your Device
Some data is stored locally on your device, including saved recipes, favorites, recipe photos, pantry items, taste profile settings, shopping list items, and feedback used to personalize future recipes.
Local data remains on your device until you delete it in the Application where deletion is available, clear the relevant app data, or uninstall the Application.
## Data Retention
We retain information only for as long as necessary to provide the Application, improve the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the Application.
Information stored locally remains under your control on your device. Information sent to backend, analytics, diagnostics, push notification, or AI service providers may be retained according to those providers' policies and operational requirements.

## Your Choices
You can:
- revoke camera, photo library, and notification permissions in iOS Settings;
- edit or remove pantry items, taste profile preferences, favorites, and shopping list items inside the Application where available;
- avoid sending photos by using manual text input;
- stop all further collection by uninstalling the Application;
- contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of information associated with your use of the Application.
## Children
The Application is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the Application, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
## Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information processed by the Application. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
## International Processing
Information may be processed in countries other than your country of residence, depending on where our service providers operate. By using the Application, you understand that information may be transferred and processed outside your country.
## Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Application after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective means you accept the updated policy.
