Compactica Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the Compactica mobile application, referred to as the “Application”, provided by Compactica, referred to as the “Service Provider”

Compactica is intended for authorized business users working with construction, field operations, project documentation, compaction workflows, GPS mapping, quality control, and related project activities

By using the Application, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy


Information Collection and Use

The Application may collect information when you download, access, or use it. This information may include, but is not limited to:

- Your device’s Internet Protocol address, such as IP address
- The pages and screens of the Application that you visit
- The time and date of your use of the Application
- The time spent in the Application
- The operating system and device information from your mobile device
- App interactions and usage events
- Crash logs, diagnostics, and performance data
- Device identifiers or app instance identifiers
- User account identifiers
- Project-related data entered or uploaded through the Application
- In-app messages or work-related communication inside the Application
- Uploaded photos, attachments, and field documentation
- Approximate and precise location data, where required for Application functionality


Camera, Photos, and Project Attachments

The Application may request access to the device camera and photos to allow authorized users to capture and upload project-related field documentation

This may include project photos, construction site photos, field attachments, nuclear gauge photos, core sample photos, and other work-related documentation

Photos and attachments may be uploaded to Compactica servers and associated with a project, user account, timestamp, and location data where applicable

This information is used to provide core Application functionality, support project documentation, improve field workflows, support quality control, maintain project records, and assist with construction-related reporting

The Application does not use the camera for advertising purposes and does not sell camera, photo, or attachment data


Location Data

The Application may collect approximate and precise location data to support project mapping, GPS-tagged field records, station-based workflows, attachment placement, site documentation, and location-aware field operations

Location data may be associated with project records, photos, attachments, user actions, and timestamps where needed for core Application functionality

Location data is not used for advertising purposes


Business and Project Data

Compactica is intended for authorized business users. The Application may collect and process account information, user identifiers, project data, field records, GPS/location data, uploaded photos, attachments, in-app messages, app interactions, crash logs, diagnostics, device identifiers, and performance data

This information is used to provide Application functionality, account management, project documentation, field operations, security, support, diagnostics, analytics, and reliability improvements


Artificial Intelligence

The Application does not use Artificial Intelligence technologies to process your data or provide features


How Information Is Used

The Service Provider may use collected information for the following purposes:

- To provide and operate the Application
- To authenticate users and manage authorized access
- To display project data, maps, attachments, and field records
- To support GPS-based workflows and field documentation
- To upload and manage photos, attachments, and project records
- To support in-app messages, alerts, and work-related communication
- To diagnose crashes, errors, and performance issues
- To improve Application stability, reliability, and usability
- To provide support and respond to user or customer organization requests
- To comply with legal, contractual, security, audit, or business obligations


Third-Party Services

The Application uses third-party services that may collect information used to identify, diagnose, secure, or improve the Application

The Application may use the following third-party services:

- Google Analytics for Firebase
- Firebase Crashlytics
- Mapbox

These services may collect diagnostics, app performance data, device identifiers, usage events, crash logs, map-related data, or other technical information according to their own privacy policies

The Service Provider does not sell user data to third parties

The Service Provider may share information with trusted service providers who work on behalf of the Service Provider, do not have an independent use of the information disclosed to them, and are required to protect the information according to applicable privacy and security obligations


Disclosure of Information

The Service Provider may disclose User Provided and Automatically Collected Information:

- As required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process
- When the Service Provider believes in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect its rights, protect user safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, respond to a government request, or support security and compliance
- With trusted service providers who work on behalf of the Service Provider and do not have an independent use of the information disclosed to them
- With customer organizations or authorized administrators where necessary to manage business accounts, project records, support requests, field operations, or contractual obligations


Data Retention Policy

The Service Provider retains User Provided data and project-related data for as long as necessary to provide the Application, support customer organizations, maintain project records, comply with legal or contractual obligations, and support security, audit, business, or operational requirements

If you would like to request deletion of User Provided Data that you have provided through the Application, please contact the Service Provider at:

Compactica accounts may be created and managed by Compactica administrators or customer organization administrators. If your account is managed by your employer or organization, the Service Provider may need to coordinate deletion requests with the account owner, tenant administrator, or customer organization

Some project, safety, audit, legal, billing, contractual, compliance, or business records may be retained where required by law, contract, security, or business operations


Account Access and Account Deletion

The Application is intended for authorized users with existing Compactica accounts. Users do not create accounts directly inside the Application

To request account deletion or deletion of associated user data, please contact:

Please include your name, company or organization name, username or email used for Compactica, and a short note requesting account or data deletion

The Service Provider will review and respond to deletion requests in a reasonable time, subject to account ownership, customer organization requirements, contractual obligations, legal requirements, security needs, and applicable data retention policies


Opt-Out Rights

You can stop all collection of information by the Application by uninstalling it

You may use the standard uninstall process available on your mobile device or through the mobile application marketplace


Children

The Application is not intended for children

The Application does not knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13

If the Service Provider discovers that a child under 13 has provided personal information, the Service Provider will take reasonable steps to delete such information from its servers

Security

The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality and security of your information

The Service Provider uses physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards designed to protect information that the Service Provider processes and maintains

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and the Service Provider cannot guarantee absolute security


Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time

The Service Provider will notify users of changes by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy

You are advised to review this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes

Continued use of the Application after changes are posted will be deemed acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy


Effective Date

This Privacy Policy is effective as of May 6, 2026
