Thank you for using Coco Simple Budget. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is collected, used, and protected when you use our iOS application.

We collect and store the following types of information locally on your device:

• Your payday preferences
• Income entries
• Expense entries
• Budget cycles (including names and archived status)
• Preferred currency
• App settings (e.g., light/dark mode)

We do not collect personally identifiable information, and no data is transmitted off your device.

1. Purpose of Data Collection

All data is collected solely to enable the core budgeting functionality of the app. For example, we use your payday and expense entries to calculate how much discretionary income you have left after fixed expenses.

All data is stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage, a standard data storage system in React Native. We do not store or back up your data on our servers or any third-party servers.

1. Data Sharing

We do not share your data with third parties. Your information stays entirely on your device.

In future versions, we may integrate services such as RevenueCat to support in-app purchases. If this occurs, this policy will be updated accordingly.

1. User Control Over Data

You have full control over your data:

• You can delete all data at any time via the “Erase all data” button in the app’s settings.
• There are no user accounts, and no information is tied to your identity.
• Data export is not currently supported.
• Opt-out from data collection is not applicable since all data is necessary for core app functionality and is stored locally.

1. Security

While we take your privacy seriously, data is stored using standard mechanisms provided by the platform (AsyncStorage) without additional encryption. Please consider enabling device-level security (e.g., passcode or Face ID) to further protect your information.

We may update this Privacy Policy as the app evolves. When we do, we will update the “Effective Date” at the top of this page. We recommend reviewing this policy periodically for any changes.
