This Privacy Policy describes how ClueChain: Think. Link. Solve. (“ClueChain,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the ClueChain mobile application (the “App”).

ClueChain: Think. Link. Solve. is a word-chain puzzle game. We designed the App to work primarily on your device without requiring an account. The App may display ads through Google AdMob.

1. Summary

  • We do not require you to create an account.
  • We do not collect your name, email, phone number, or other contact details through the App (unless you choose to email us for support).
  • Game progress, coins, and settings are stored locally on your device.
  • The App may show ads served by Google AdMob, which may collect device and advertising-related data as described below.
  • We do not sell your personal information.

2. Information We Store on Your Device

The App may store the following data only on your device (for example, using on-device preferences storage):

  • Level progress and stars per category
  • Highest unlocked level
  • In-game coin balance and claimed rewards
  • Display preferences (such as dark mode)
  • Other gameplay-related settings you choose in the App
  • Purchase or “remove ads” status, if you buy an ad-free option

This information is used to keep your progress and preferences available the next time you open the App. It is not uploaded to our own servers by the App as currently built.

If you uninstall the App or clear the App’s data, this local information may be permanently deleted.

3. Information We Do Not Collect Ourselves

We do not ask you for, and we do not collect ourselves:

  • Names, email addresses, or passwords (except if you email support)
  • Precise location
  • Contacts, photos, microphone, or camera content
  • Payment card details (payments, if any, are handled by the app store)

Advertising partners such as Google AdMob may collect technical and advertising data as described in Section 5.

4. Internet Access & Third-Party Services

The App’s core gameplay (puzzles, progress, sound effects) is designed to work with content bundled in the App. Network access is used for ads and, depending on your device, limited library requests.

Third parties may include:

  • Google AdMob (advertising): see Section 5.
  • Google Fonts (typography): your device may contact Google’s servers to fetch font files. Google may process technical data such as IP address according to Google’s privacy policy.
  • App stores (Google Play / Apple App Store): if you download or update ClueChain, or make in-app purchases (for example coin packs or remove-ads), the store provider processes purchase and account information under their own policies. We do not receive your full payment card details.

We do not control third-party websites or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

5. Advertising (Google AdMob)

ClueChain may display advertisements using Google AdMob, including formats such as banner, interstitial, rewarded, or similar ads.

What AdMob may collect or use

When ads are shown, Google and its partners may collect or process information such as:

  • Device identifiers (including advertising ID / GAID / IDFA, where available)
  • IP address and approximate location derived from IP
  • Device and app information (for example device model, OS version, app version)
  • Ad performance data (impressions, clicks, interactions)
  • Diagnostic and technical information related to serving ads

This information is used to show ads, measure ad performance, detect fraud/abuse, and (where permitted) personalize ads.

Personalized vs non-personalized ads

Where required by law (for example in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland), consent tools or store settings may be used so that ads are personalized only when allowed. Otherwise, non-personalized ads may still be shown using limited technical data needed to serve ads.

Your ad choices

You may be able to limit personalized advertising through:

  • Your device settings (for example reset or limit Ad ID on Android / App Tracking Transparency or limited ad tracking on iOS)
  • Google’s ad settings: https://adssettings.google.com
  • Any in-app “Remove Ads” or similar purchase, if offered

Opting out of personalized ads does not mean you will see no ads; you may still see non-personalized ads unless you purchase an ad-free option (if available).

6. Purchases & Remove Ads

The App may offer in-app purchases such as coin packs or a remove-ads option. Purchases are processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store. We receive confirmation that a purchase occurred so we can unlock the feature on your device; we do not receive your full payment card number.

Some shop or settings labels may appear before every purchase feature is fully enabled. When a feature goes live, this policy still applies to AdMob and store purchases as described above.

7. Children’s Privacy

ClueChain: Think. Link. Solve. is a general-audience puzzle game. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children ourselves.

Because the App may show ads via Google AdMob, advertising partners may process device and ad-related data as described in Section 5. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us (for example, by emailing support), contact us and we will delete it where reasonably possible.

8. Data Security

Local game data is stored using the standard storage mechanisms provided by your device’s operating system. Ad serving is handled by Google’s systems under their security practices. No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. Uninstalling the App or clearing App data removes local progress from that device.

9. Your Choices

You can:

  • Change preferences inside the App (for example, sound or dark mode)
  • Adjust device / Google ad settings to limit personalized advertising
  • Purchase remove-ads (if available) to stop seeing ads in the App
  • Clear App storage or uninstall the App to remove local progress and settings
  • Contact us with privacy questions using the email below

Because progress is stored on-device, we cannot remotely reset or recover your progress from our side.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time (for example when AdMob setup, ad formats, or purchase features change). The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy, to the extent permitted by law.
