This Privacy Policy explains what information the Circle of Fifths Trainer app ("the App") processes and how it is used. The App is an educational tool for learning music theory (circle of fifths, modes, chords, scale exercises).

1. Information we collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data ourselves.

  • The App does not require an account and has no sign-in.
  • Your settings (interface language, selected key and mode, instrument, playback options and similar preferences) are stored only locally on your device and are deleted when you uninstall the App or clear its data. They are never sent to us or to anyone else.
  • The App does not access your contacts, files, camera, microphone, or precise location.

2. Advertising

The App shows advertisements provided by third-party advertising networks (Google AdMob and/or its certified partners). To serve ads, these networks may automatically collect and process certain data on their own behalf, including:

  • device advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID);
  • IP address and coarse (approximate) location derived from it;
  • device information (model, operating system version, language, screen size);
  • ad interaction data (impressions, clicks, and general app usage events related to ad serving);
  • diagnostic data used for fraud prevention and ad measurement.

This data is collected and processed by the advertising partners under their own privacy policies:

Depending on your region and consent choices, ads may be personalized (based on your interests) or non-personalized (based only on contextual information such as approximate location and the content of the App).

Your choices regarding ads

  • Consent. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another region where consent is required, you will be shown a consent dialog before personalized ads are served. You can decline personalized ads and change your choice later from within the App's settings.
  • Reset or delete your Advertising ID. On Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads — you can reset your advertising ID or delete it, which prevents interest-based ad personalization.

3. Permissions

The App requests network access (INTERNET) solely for loading advertisements. No other sensitive permissions are used.

4. Legal bases for processing (GDPR)

Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, the legal bases for the processing described above are:

  • Consent — for personalized advertising;
  • Legitimate interest — for non-personalized (contextual) advertising, ad fraud prevention, and basic ad measurement.

5. Data sharing and retention

We do not sell, share, or retain any personal data, because we do not collect it. Data collected by advertising partners is retained under their own policies; see the links in Section 2.

6. Children

The App is a general-audience educational tool and is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Where required, ad requests are configured in accordance with applicable child-protection rules.

7. Security

The App itself transmits no personal data. Communication performed by the advertising SDK uses encrypted connections (HTTPS).

8. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g., GDPR in the EU, CCPA/CPRA in California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object to processing. Because the data described in Section 2 is processed by advertising partners, please also exercise these rights through the tools linked above. 9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date at the top of this document, and the current version will always be available at the URL where this policy is published.
