Privacy Policy for Briefly Today App
Last updated: January 17, 2026
1. Data Collection:
Briefly Today is designed to be anonymous. We do not require accounts, names, or emails. To deliver our service, we only store:
- Region: Your approximate region (e.g., US or Europe) based on your timezone. This ensures your "Scoop" arrives at the correct local time.
- Push Token: To deliver the “Daily Scoop”, we store an anonymized push token. This is a random identifier that cannot be used to identify you and is only shared with our service provider (Expo) to trigger the alert.
- Content: We use Supabase to host our facts and news.
2. Third-Party Services (Advertising):
To keep this app free, we show advertisements using Google AdMob. While we do not collect your data, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and use certain information to serve relevant ads. This may include:
Advertising Identifiers: (such as Android Advertising ID or iOS IDFA).
Device Information: (Model, operating system, and connection type).
IP Address: (Used to estimate general location, like your city, for localized ads).
You can manage your ad preferences or opt-out of personalized ads via the "Privacy Choices" menu within the app or your device settings.
4. Children’s Privacy Our app is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you are a parent and believe your child has used the app in a way that concerns you, please contact us.
5. Changes to This Policy We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
