Privacy Policy
This privacy policy applies to the BodyCompass app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices that was created by Michael Matthews (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a Freemium service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".
Information Collection and Use
The Application collects information when you download and use it. This information may include:
- Your device's Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address)
- The pages of the Application that you visit, the time and date of your visit, and the time spent on those pages
- The operating system you use on your mobile device
The Application does not gather precise information about the location of your mobile device and does not use location-based services.
Account Information
When you create an account, the Application collects your email address and display name. This information is used to authenticate your account, save your personal data across devices, and allow you to participate in community features.
Health Data
On iOS devices, the Application may request access to Apple HealthKit to read health metrics including step count, sleep data, heart rate, and calories burned. On Android devices, the Application may request access to Android Health Connect to read the same categories of data. This health data is used solely to personalize your experience within the Application — specifically to calculate your Alignment Score and provide state-based food and activity recommendations. The Application only reads health data; it does not write to HealthKit or Health Connect. Health data is processed on your device and is not sold or shared with third parties for advertising purposes.
Camera and Photo Library
The Application requests access to your device's camera and photo library to allow you to scan food barcodes and upload profile photos and food log images. Images captured or selected are used only within the Application for the purposes described.
Community Content
The Application includes community features that allow users to share activity, achievements, and other content with other users of the Application. Content you post in community features (such as energy boosts and status updates) may be visible to other users. You may report or block other users through in-app tools. The Service Provider reserves the right to remove content that violates community guidelines.
Food Barcode Scanning
When you scan a food barcode, the Application queries the Open Food Facts database to retrieve nutritional information for that product. The barcode value may be transmitted to the Open Food Facts API for this lookup. No personally identifiable information is transmitted as part of this request.
Data-Driven Recommendations
The Application uses algorithmic processing of your logged data — including nervous system state logs, food entries, health metrics, and activity history — to generate personalized recommendations, insights, and an Alignment Score. This processing occurs to provide the core features of the Application and is not used for advertising profiling.
Third Party Access
Only aggregated, anonymized data is periodically transmitted to external services to aid the Service Provider in improving the Application and their service. The Service Provider may share your information with third parties in the ways described in this privacy statement.

The Service Provider may disclose User Provided and Automatically Collected Information:
- as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process;
- when they believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect their rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request;
- with trusted service providers who work on their behalf, do not have an independent use of the information disclosed to them, and have agreed to adhere to the rules set forth in this privacy statement.
Opt-Out Rights
You can stop all collection of information by the Application by uninstalling it. You may use the standard uninstall processes available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace.
Account Deletion
You may delete your account at any time from within the Application via the Profile screen. Upon deletion, your account data, logs, and community content will be permanently removed from our servers. Data Retention Policy
The Service Provider will retain User Provided data for as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable time thereafter. If you would like the Service Provider to delete User Provided Data that you have provided via the Application, please contact findinginfinite2233@gmail.com and they will respond within a reasonable time.
Children
The Service Provider does not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13. The Application does not address anyone under the age of 13. In the event the Service Provider discovers that a child under 13 has provided personal information, it will be immediately deleted from their servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided personal information, please contact the Service Provider at findinginfinite2233@gmail.com.
Security
The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information and provides physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information the Service Provider processes and maintains.
Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.

By using the Application, you are consenting to the processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by the Service Provider.
