This privacy policy applies to the Bible Gate app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices that was created by Duhyeon Lee (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a Freemium service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".
Information Collection and Use
The Application collects information when you download and use it. Since the Application does not require account creation or login, we do not collect personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, or phone number.
However, to improve the stability of the Application and analyze usage patterns, we use third-party services that may collect the following information:
Device & App History:
Device type, model, and operating system version.
Crash Logs & Diagnostics: Information about when and why the app crashed (via Firebase Crashlytics).
App Activity: Interactions within the app, such as alarm set/toggle, mission completion (short/long), Bible reading scroll depth, and settings preferences (via Firebase Analytics).
Financial Information:
Purchase History: Information regarding in-app purchases (e.g., Snooze items). Please note that we do not process or store your credit card information directly; all payment transactions are handled securely by Google Play.
Location Data (Approximate):
The Application does not collect precise GPS location. However, Firebase Analytics may collect approximate location data (derived from IP address, such as city or country level) to help us understand our user demographics.
Third Party Access
Only aggregated, anonymized data is periodically transmitted to external services to aid the Service Provider in improving the Application and their service. The Service Provider may share your information with third parties in the ways that are described in this privacy statement.

App Permissions
The Application requests specific permissions to function correctly. By using the Application, you grant permission for the following:
FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_PLAYBACK: This permission is strictly used to ensure that alarm sounds and background music (BGM) continue to play uninterrupted during the alarm mission, even if the screen is locked or the app is in the background.
Data Retention Policy
Since the Application does not support user accounts, we do not retain any personal user data on our own servers.
Analytics & Crash Data: Data collected via Firebase is retained according to Google's data retention policies and is used solely for analysis and debugging.
Local Data: Any settings, alarms, or progress saved on your device are stored locally. You can delete this data at any time by uninstalling the Application or clearing the app data in your device settings.
Children
The Service Provider does not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13.
The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. As the Application does not have a sign-up process, no personal data is requested from users of any age. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact the Service Provider (biblegate.official@gmail.com) so that they will be able to take the necessary actions.
Security
The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. Although we do not collect personal information directly, the data transmitted to our third-party analytics providers is encrypted (HTTPS) to protect your privacy.
Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes to the Privacy Policy by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.
