Alihan Aktay ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application Bette Sleep (the "App"). Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not access the App.   

1. Information We Collect We may collect information about you in a variety of ways. The information we may collect via the App includes:   

• Usage Data (via Firebase Analytics): We automatically collect certain information when you access the App, such as your mobile device ID (or an anonymized identifier), device type, operating system version, IP address (which may be used to infer general location like city/country), access times, duration of sessions, screens viewed, sounds played, features used, and crash reports. This data is generally aggregated and anonymized. You can often limit this type of tracking via your device's settings (e.g., Limit Ad Tracking or equivalent).
• Subscription Data (via RevenueCat & Apple): To manage your subscription status and provide access to premium features, we utilize RevenueCat, which works with Apple's In-App Purchase system. RevenueCat may receive an anonymous user identifier generated by their SDK, purchase history (like subscription start/end dates, auto-renewal status, entitlements granted), and potentially link this to your Firebase App Instance ID for analytics purposes. We do not receive your Apple ID, name, or payment card details directly; these are processed by Apple. RevenueCat may also collect diagnostic and usage data related to their service.
• Information You Provide Voluntarily: If you contact us directly via email or other support channels, we will collect the information you provide, such as your name, email address, and the content of your message, in order to respond to your inquiry.

2. How We Use Your Information Having accurate information permits us to provide you with a smooth, efficient, and customized experience. Specifically, we may use information collected about you via the App to:   

• Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the App.
• Manage your subscription and provide access to premium content.
• Understand how users interact with the App through aggregated analytics to enhance user experience and develop new features.
• Monitor and analyze usage and trends to improve the App's functionality.
• Diagnose and fix technology problems, including crashes.
• Respond to your comments, questions, and provide customer support.
• Comply with legal obligations.

3. How We Share Your Information We do not sell your personal information. We may share information we have collected about you in certain situations:

• With Third-Party Service Providers: We share information with third-party vendors and service providers who perform services for us or on our behalf, including:

• By Law or to Protect Rights: If we believe the release of information about you is necessary to respond to legal process, to investigate or remedy potential violations of our policies, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of others, we may share your information as permitted or required by any applicable law, rule, or regulation.   
• Business Transfers: We may share or transfer your information in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business to another company.   

4. Data Storage and Security We use third-party services like Firebase and RevenueCat to store and process your data. These providers implement administrative, technical, and physical security measures designed to protect your information. While we and our providers take reasonable steps to secure the information you provide to us, please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse. Any information disclosed online is vulnerable to interception and misuse by unauthorized parties.   

5. Data Retention We will retain Usage Data and Subscription Data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting, or other legal requirements). Analytics data is often kept in an aggregated or anonymized form for longer periods. Information provided via direct contact will be kept as long as needed to resolve the inquiry and for record-keeping purposes.   

6. Your Privacy Rights Depending on your location (e.g., EEA, UK, California), you may have certain rights regarding your personal information:

• Access: You may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you.   
• Correction: You may have the right to request correction of inaccurate information.
• Deletion: You may have the right to request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.
• Opt-Out of Analytics: You can typically limit analytics collection through your mobile device's settings (e.g., "Limit Ad Tracking" on iOS, resetting advertising identifiers).

Note that subscription management (cancellation, viewing purchase history) is primarily handled through your Apple App Store account settings. Deleting the app does not automatically cancel your subscription.

7. Children's Privacy The App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or a higher age threshold if required by applicable law in your jurisdiction, e.g., 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under this age. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under the relevant age threshold without parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information as quickly as possible. 8. International Data Transfers Your information, including personal data, may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. Our service providers (Firebase, RevenueCat) operate globally. Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by your submission of such information represents your agreement to that transfer.   

9. Links to Third-Party Services The App may contain links to third-party websites or services (including the privacy policies of Firebase and RevenueCat linked above) that are not operated by us. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that third party's site. We strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of every site you visit. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.   

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the App and updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this Privacy Policy. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted. Your continued use of the App after the posting of changes constitutes your acceptance of such changes.
