Privacy Policy

This privacy policy is applicable to the Nature Unlock app (hereinafter referred to as "Application") for mobile devices, which was developed by Walid Islam (hereinafter referred to as "Service Provider") as a Commercial service. This service is provided "AS IS".

What information does the Application obtain and how is it used?

User Provided Information

Registration is not required to use the Application. You can use it without creating an account.

The information you actively provide includes:

  • Photos you capture to unlock. When you choose to unlock early, you take a photo of nature (a tree, flower, grass, or snow). This image is sent to a third-party detection service (see "Image Data Handling" below) so the Application can confirm it shows real nature.
  • Inputs for AI Meditation. If you use Personalized AI Meditation, the short context you provide (for example, how your day went) is sent to our AI providers to generate a meditation script and audio.

If, in the future, the Service Provider offers optional account sign-in, any information you provide at registration may be used to contact you with important information, required notices, and — only where permitted — marketing promotions.

Automatically Collected Information

The Application may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to: the type of mobile device you use, your device's unique identifiers, a mobile advertising identifier, the IP address of your device, your mobile operating system, and information about the way you use the Application (such as feature usage, sessions, and in-app events). This information is used for analytics, advertising, crash diagnostics, and to operate and improve the Application, as described below.

Does the Application collect precise real-time location information of the device?

This Application does not gather precise information about the location of your mobile device.

Do third parties see and/or have access to information obtained by the Application?

The Application relies on third-party service providers ("processors") to function. Information is shared with them only as needed to provide and improve the service, and each operates under its own privacy policy. This is more than aggregated, anonymized data — some processors receive device identifiers, an advertising identifier, usage events, or content you submit (such as unlock photos or AI-meditation inputs), strictly for the purposes described here.

The Service Provider may disclose User-Provided and Automatically Collected information:

  • as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process;
  • when they believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect their rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request;
  • with their trusted service providers who work on their behalf, do not have an independent use of the information disclosed to them, and have agreed to adhere to the rules set forth in this privacy statement.

Image Data Handling

To verify an early unlock, the Application captures a photo and sends it to Google Cloud Vision API and/or Google Gemini API (both subject to Google's privacy policy) to determine whether it shows a real tree, flower, grass, or snow. These photos are processed only to perform that check — they are not used to identify you and are not shared for any other purpose. On devices or in cases where cloud analysis is unavailable, an on-device fallback (Apple/Google on-device image labeling) may be used instead.

Screen Time Data Handling

  • Detailed screen-time figures (hours spent in apps) are produced by a sandboxed iOS extension and stay on your device; they are not transmitted to our servers.
  • To enforce free-plan limits, the Application stores simple usage counts (for example, how many app-locks or unlocks you have used today) in our backend (Supabase) associated with an anonymous identifier. This does not include which specific apps you use or your detailed screen-time data.

App Usage Access

We monitor only the apps you have selected to block, to help you reduce distractions. We do not access unnecessary or unrelated usage data.

Advertising

The free version of the Application displays ads served through Google AdMob. To deliver, personalize, and measure ads, AdMob may collect device information and a mobile advertising identifier, subject to Google's advertising policies (https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads). On iOS, you can control ad tracking via Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking (App Tracking Transparency) and limit personalized ads. The Premium version does not display ads.

Analytics and Crash Reporting

The Application uses PostHog to understand how features are used (in-app events tied to an anonymous identifier) and Sentry to capture crash and error diagnostics. This data is used to keep the Application stable and to improve it, not to identify you personally.

What are my opt-out rights?

You can halt all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling it, using the standard uninstall process available on your device or app marketplace. You can also limit ad tracking and analytics via your device privacy settings as described above.

Your Rights

  • Delete all local app data by uninstalling the App.
  • Control app permissions (camera, tracking, etc.) through your device settings.
  • Request deletion of data associated with you by contacting snapnsolve.apps@gmail.com.
  • Local data is retained until app uninstallation.

Pricing and Payments

The Premium version is available through in-app purchase with two subscription options: a Monthly subscription and an Annual subscription.

  • All prices are shown in your local currency within the app.
  • Prices may vary by region and are subject to change.
  • Payment will be charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
  • Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
  • You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account settings.
  • No refunds will be issued for any unused portion of a subscription period.

App Blocking Functionality

The App uses iOS Family Controls APIs to restrict access to selected applications.

Age and Consent

  • The App is available for users of all ages.
  • Users under 13 must have parent or guardian consent.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any account you create.

Acceptable Use

  • You agree not to circumvent or attempt to circumvent the App's blocking mechanisms.
  • You agree not to use the App for any unlawful purpose.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

Changes to Service

We reserve the right to:

  • Modify or discontinue any part of the service;
  • Change prices or availability;
  • Update these terms with reasonable notice.

The App is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not responsible for:

  • Inability to access blocked apps;
  • False positive or negative (flower or tree) detection results;
  • Any consequences of app blocking or unblocking;
  • Screen-time tracking accuracy;
  • Availability or functionality of the app features.

Data Retention Policy, Managing Your Information

The Service Provider will retain User-Provided data for as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable time thereafter. Automatically Collected information may be retained for up to 24 months and thereafter stored in aggregate. If you would like the Service Provider to delete User-Provided data, please contact snapnsolve.apps@gmail.com and we will respond in a reasonable time. Please note that some or all of the data may be required for the Application to function properly.

Children

The Service Provider does not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13. The Application does not address anyone under the age of 13, and the Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If the Service Provider discovers that a child under 13 has provided personal information, it will be deleted immediately. If you are a parent or guardian and are aware that your child has provided personal information, please contact snapnsolve.apps@gmail.com so the necessary actions can be taken.

Security

The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information and provides physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect the information it processes and maintains. For example, access is limited to authorized personnel who need it to operate, develop, or improve the Application. Please be aware that, although we endeavor to provide reasonable security, no security system can prevent all potential security breaches.

Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.

Your Consent

By using the Application, you consent to the Service Provider processing your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy, now and as amended. "Processing" means using or touching information in any way, including, but not limited to, collecting, storing, deleting, using, combining, and disclosing information.
