Introduction Vallon Studios ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Beau app (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application. By using Beau, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
Information We Collect We collect information you provide directly to us, including:
• Account Information: Your display name, dating platform preferences, and relationship goals entered during onboarding or in settings. • Conversation Data: Messages you send to Beau, including text conversations and screenshots uploaded for coaching analysis. These are processed to provide personalized advice and are stored to maintain conversation context. • Memory Data: Information Beau learns about you during conversations, such as people you mention, dating events, personal preferences, and interests. This data powers Beau's personalized coaching. • Usage Data: App interaction data such as features used, session duration, and in-app activity to improve the Service. • Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and unique device identifiers for app functionality and diagnostics. • Purchase Information: Subscription status and transaction records processed through Apple's App Store and RevenueCat. We do not store your payment card details.
How We Use Your Information We use the information we collect to:
• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service • Deliver personalized dating coaching, conversation analysis, and advice • Maintain Beau's memory system so your coach remembers your dating journey • Process your subscription and manage your account • Send push notifications you have opted into (follow-up reminders, daily check-ins, morning motivation) • Analyze usage patterns to improve features and user experience • Respond to your requests and support inquiries
AI Processing Beau uses artificial intelligence (powered by third-party AI providers) to generate coaching responses, analyze conversations, and extract relevant information from your chats. Your messages and uploaded screenshots are sent to AI service providers for processing. These providers process data according to their own privacy policies and data processing agreements. We do not use your personal conversations to train AI models.
Data Storage & Security Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database platform with encryption at rest and in transit. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data Sharing We do not sell your personal information. We may share your data with:
• AI Service Providers: To process your conversations and provide coaching (e.g., Anthropic for AI responses) • Infrastructure Providers: Cloud hosting and database services (e.g., Supabase) to operate the Service • Payment Processors: Apple App Store and RevenueCat for subscription management • Legal Requirements: If required by law, regulation, or legal process
Data Retention We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can delete all your memory data at any time through Settings > Clear All Memory. You can delete your entire account and all associated data through Settings > Delete My Account. Upon account deletion, all your data is permanently removed from our systems.
Your Rights You have the right to:
• Access the personal data we hold about you (visible in Settings > View My Memory) • Delete your data at any time (Settings > Clear All Memory or Delete My Account) • Opt out of push notifications at any time through your device settings • Cancel your subscription at any time through App Store settings • Request a copy of your data by contacting us
Children's Privacy Beau is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 17. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 17, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
Changes to This Policy We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy within the app and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
