This Privacy Policy describes how Aqua Player ("we", "the app") handles your information. Aqua Player is an offline media player for Android that plays video and audio files stored on your device.
Summary: Aqua Player is an offline media player. We do not collect, store, or share your personal data. Your media files never leave your device.
1. Information We Do Not Collect
Aqua Player does not collect, transmit, or store:
- Personal information (name, email, phone number, address)
- Account or login credentials
- Location data
- Contacts, call logs, or messages
- Your media files or their contents
2. Device Permissions
Aqua Player requests the following permissions, used solely for local functionality:
- Storage / Media access — to read and display video and audio files on your device. Your files are accessed locally and are never uploaded or shared.
- Notifications — to show playback controls in the notification bar during background audio playback.
- Internet — to play network streams (when you open a URL), check for app updates via Firebase, and for future ad display. No personal data is transmitted.
- Foreground service — to continue audio playback when the app is in the background.
- Vibrate — for haptic feedback on certain controls.
3. Advertising
Aqua Player may display advertisements in future versions. If ads are introduced, the app may use an advertising ID to serve relevant ads. You can reset or opt out of personalized ads through your device's settings under Settings > Google > Ads. This policy will be updated before any ad integration goes live.
4. Data Storage
All app data — playback history, favorites, playlists, settings, and preferences — is stored locally on your device in a private database. This data is not accessible to other apps and is not transmitted to any server.
5. Third-Party Links & Streaming
If you open a network stream URL (http, https, rtsp), the app connects directly to that server to play the media. We have no control over third-party servers and are not responsible for their privacy practices.
6. Children's Privacy
Aqua Player is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
