Approximate Location: Derived from your IP address or device settings (if enabled). We do not collect precise GPS location without explicit, additional consent.

Identifiers: Email address, User ID, username.

Profile Data: Sex, age (for age-gating/appropriate content), profile picture.

Contact Information: Personal or Business details (If provided for support or features).

Location Data: If explicitly enabled by you for location-based features.

Core App Functionality: To operate, maintain, and provide the App's features.

4. Location Data (Specifics)

Collection: Approximate location (e.g., city/country) is derived from your IP address. Precise location is only collected if you explicitly enable device location services for the App.

Use: Location data is used for:

Geolocation Services: Providing location-relevant features/content (if enabled).

Analytics: Aggregated, anonymized location data helps analyze regional usage and improve services.

Third-Party Services: Anonymized location data may be shared with analytics partners (e.g., Mapbox for mapping, Google Analytics) solely for service improvement.

Service Providers: Trusted third parties (listed below) process data under strict contractual agreements for purposes like analytics, crash reporting, and mapping. They are prohibited from independent use or selling your data.

7. Data Retention

User-Provided Data: Retained for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Upon account deletion request, we will delete or anonymize this data within 30 days, except where legal retention obligations apply (e.g., transaction records, safety incident investigations).

Automatically Collected Data: Retained for analytical purposes for a period necessary to achieve the purposes outlined (typically up to 26 months), after which it is anonymized or deleted.

Right to Deletion: Users can request deletion of their User-Provided Data by contacting privacy@allamai.org or help@allamai.org . We will respond within 30 days.

8. User Rights & Choices

Opt-Out of Collection: Uninstall the App using your device's standard methods.

Location Services: Control precise location collection via your device settings.

Marketing Communications: Opt-out via the unsubscribe link in emails or App settings.

Access & Correction: Contact us to request access to or correction of your personal data.

Do Not Sell/Share (CCPA/GDPR): We do not sell personal data. For specific rights under CCPA (California), GDPR (EU/UK), or similar laws (e.g., access, deletion, portability, objection), contact privacy@allamai.org . We will respond within legally mandated timeframes and verify your identity.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 (16 in some regions like EEA/UK). We do not knowingly solicit or collect personal information from underage users.

Age Screening: We may implement age-gating or request age information to restrict underage access.

Parental Action: If we discover underage data was collected, we will delete it immediately. Parents/guardians who believe their child provided data should contact us at privacy@allamai.org .

COPPA/GDPR-K Compliance: Our practices are designed to comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and GDPR provisions regarding children.

10. Security
We implement robust technical and organizational measures to protect your information:

Industry Standards: Encryption in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest, access controls, secure coding practices.

Procedural Safeguards: Regular security audits, vulnerability management, employee training.

Breach Response: We have procedures to investigate, mitigate, and notify Users and authorities of data breaches as required by law (e.g., within 72 hours under GDPR where applicable). While we strive for maximum security, no system is 100% impenetrable.
