Raetae Studios developed AI Roommate exclusively for Meta Quest devices. This SERVICE is provided by Raetae Studios and is intended for use as-is on Meta Quest platforms. AI Roommate is currently a paid app, but the business model may change in the future, potentially transitioning to a subscription-based model. Any changes will be communicated to users.

This page informs users about our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information for anyone choosing to use AI Roommate on Meta Quest devices.

The terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions, unless otherwise defined here.

Information Collection and Use

For a better experience while using AI Roommate, we may require you to provide certain information. This includes:

Device User Data

AI Roommate enables voice and text conversations with AI companions. To make these interactions possible, your input (voice or text) is transmitted to external service providers for processing.

We currently use the following AI service providers:

OpenAI

OpenRouter.ai

Only the conversational content you generate is transmitted to these providers. We do not transmit your Meta Horizon user ID, email, profile, or subscription data to them.

These providers process your input for the sole purpose of generating AI responses. No conversations are stored by Raetae Studios unless explicitly stated in future updates. We do not allow our providers to use the data for model training purposes, and we ensure that transmitted data is handled under terms that restrict reuse and require deletion when no longer needed.

In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

To manage purchases and subscription services, we collect:

User ID: To identify your Meta account for subscription tracking.

Subscription Status: To verify your entitlement to access paid features.

In-App Purchase Activity: To facilitate secure transactions within the app.

This data is used only within AI Roommate, is not shared with third parties, and is used strictly to provide access to paid features.

Voice Interaction and Conversational Data

Your voice or typed input is temporarily processed to allow real-time interaction with the AI. This data is transmitted securely to the above-mentioned service providers and is not stored long-term by Raetae Studios.

Please note that AI Roommate may include mature or explicit themes depending on the context of the conversations you initiate.

Log Data

In the event of app errors or crashes, we may collect diagnostic information through third-party tools. This may include:

Device IP address

Device name and OS version

Crash logs and general app activity

This data is used solely to improve app stability and is not linked to your identity.

Security

We take appropriate measures to protect your data. However, no system is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

AI Roommate may contain links to external websites. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to their site. These are not operated by us, and we strongly recommend reviewing their privacy policies.

Children’s Privacy

AI Roommate is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that a child has submitted such data, we will delete it immediately.

We comply with the Developer Data Use Policy (DDUP) from Meta. We delete user data in the following situations:
