The Active Weather app is a Commercial app. This SERVICE is provided on a commercial basis and is intended for use as is.The Active Weather app/service does not collect or store any personally identifiable information, some user system information (e.g. logs, ip address) may be captured by the web services used by the app as the app connects to a web service provided by Google Cloud Platform (GCP). However no personal information is intentionally captured or processed.
This page is used to inform visitors regarding my policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use Active Weather.
If you choose to use the Service/Active Weather app, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The Personal Information that I collect is used for providing and improving the Service. I will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.
The terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions, which is accessible at Active Weather unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy.
Information Collection and Use
No personally identifiable data of any kind is stored or processed by the Active Weather mobile app, no 3rd party SDKs are used within the code base. Searched weather locations are stored locally on the device for the convenience of the user and never transferred from the local device. Active weather uses the Dark Sky weather API to perform weather searches. The API anonymously takes location information to return weather data to the user, no personally identifiable information is passed to the API. The information that I request will be retained on your device and is not collected by the developer in any way. The app connects to Google Cloud Platform which hosts the back end code, this does not receive and personal information but may hold sytems information (e.g. logs, ip address) in the platform logs (https://cloud.google.com/security/privacy/). This is used for system/performance monitoring only.
Log Data
I want to inform you that whenever you use the Service system and log data and information (through third party products) may be captured when your device connects to the service. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing my Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics. Please see https://darksky.net/dev/docs/privacy for more information on how Dark Sky uses logging and https://cloud.google.com/security/privacy/ for the Google Cloud Platform. iCloud (personal account storage) and the Apple In App Purchase Receipts services are also used by the Active Weather and may also receive and store information about your device.

This Service does not use these “cookies” explicitly. However, the app may use third party code and libraries that use “cookies” to collect information and improve their services.
